Semi-Complete HG Heavyarms Custom

This is gonna be a short post. I have painted and completed most of the HG Heavyarms Custom. The twin-gatling guns have however not yet been either painted or even removed the seam-lines. I am quite satisfied with my work, and I have to say removing seam-lines is extremely time consuming and tiring. This is my second try on seam-line removal, so the work isn't really that clean. And I have yet to learn more effective ways of applying the putty to cover up the seam-lines. But still, I finished part of it and it's going on my blog!!

The whole body is done, but painting on the chest gatling guns have yet to be done. So leaving them closed for now, hehehe.

The missile pack on the right arm did not need any more touching up, so its up for display.

The left one however, requires a little more work, so not for show yet folks.

Both leg missile packs have been completely painted, even the one that shows the missiles, but I'll leave that for later.

And lastly, just to show you the work I've done on the thrusters. Painted the outside with Metal Grey and the inside with Gold Leaf. They look awesome!!

That's all, currently I need to work on the twin gats and other parts, then maybe I post it up, but this is all for now!!

A Side Hobby

There are sometimes that when you look at something, an object of some kind, you'll go "Oooohhhh, this looks awesome!!" For me when I look at these objects, or in this case Keychains!! there are some which I just had to buy due to its look, and also asked any of my relatives to buy me some when they go travelling to different countries, all of which also look awesome!! The keychains I like are usually the metal keychains, because they last longer, and who wouldn't say that something shiny doesn't look, at the very least appealing. I don't have that big of a collection, that's why I regard this as a side hobby, my main one of course being building Gundam models.

There you go, 34 keychains, not all of them metal but a majority of them are. I didn't get that many from other countries, some nice ones I obtained and purchased locally, and of course, pleasing to look at!! Ohohoho~

Now to first from the upper left corner, these keychains being obviously from Australia. The leather one was of course something different for me but at the other end the standard plastic keychain. The metal one in the middle was really well made and has a unique joint to allow the keychain to rotate.

And these!! Newly obtained from Japan, thanks to my sis for buying them for me, and had just been added to the collection. But I have to say, the japanese have a thing for small items, cause these are a lot smaller than the others. Still look awesome though!!

These were from India, I got them, if not mistaken last year when my mom went. Standard, but I like the fact that they're made of METAL!!

Ohoho!! These ones came all the way from South Korea!! And the first one on the right (not the P90, the bullet) was from the company that made Blackshot!! The bullet was however made for a different game, Cross Fire. The second one is a type of drum, I think, and the last one's suppose to be Dog Tags.

These ones I also recently got from my trip to Kuching. And I don't usually go for cute things, more towards cool and stylish, but these just look irresistible!! The second pic is supposed to be a handphone strap. But I got these from the Toys R Us gachapon, and unfortunately did not get the one attached to a handphone strap. Sadly, here, the gachapon aren't updated that fast....

These ones I got locally, and also quite a long time ago, I can't remember when. I especially like the one in the second picture, the main one I took a picture of. The above 2 are made of wood sadly, and I hardly use them, just keep them for collection.

Last of my collection, my gun keychains!!! Bwahahaha!!! I just recent added the AK-47 to the collection, also from my sis (big thanks too!!) the other 3 have been in my collection longer. I especially like the P90!!

Well, that's all from my collection, I just actually wanted to increase my number of posts for this month, and since I had just received my keychains from Japan, I thought it wouldn't be a bad idea to post about my keychain collection. That's all, and an update on my Heavyarms, I have yet to finish the weapons, everything else needs touching up.

Filling In The Gaps. Kuching Trip!!

I've recently not posted about anything else, and also never found the time or mood in posting other stuff on my blog. The reason for this is I'm not really fond of posting about my personal life, don't know why. So yeah, after talking about it to a certain someone (ohohohoho~, you know who you are) maybe I will, like I used to a year ago.

I recently went to Kuching, wait, actually a few weeks back, and just came back. Surprisingly, it had been 2 years since I had last been there, and if things can change in just a matter of months, what more of years. The only thing I remembered of Kuching (well I don't remember the buildings and roads that well either) was the way to both of my cousins' houses. And when I was picked up by my aunt at the airport, I hardly knew where I was going other than the same old roundabout and same old lane to enter my cousin's housing area. But yeah, arrived on the first day...

FIRST DAY!!!

and then went back to my cuz's house for prayer, then went for dinner. When going to Kuching, it has always been a practice (or maybe just what we do every time we go there... oh wait...) to go to the same buffet for dinner. I never got bored of it, and the food hardly changed (Thank God!!) but sadly the same didn't apply for my cousins, who would eat there every time one of us ever came to Kuching, but I'm not really sure whether eating there makes them bored of the place... hmmmm.... yeah, had a good time, ruined my diet due to the deliciousness, I mean, my cousins forcing me... cause... they paid for the buffet... so... I have to... eat... a lot... then went to check out the toy shop upstairs. I was quite surprised cause the Gundam models sold there were quite expensive compared to where I live. So, had a great dinner, went back to my cousin's house and went to bed. So now we continue on to the second day...

SECOND DAY!!!

Now, before I begin talking about my second day...

SECOND DAY!!!

one of the things I looked forward to in Kuching was playing NERF with my cousins. I know its a bit immature, but my bro and sis are all playing it, even my cousins, 1 whom is a year older than me, the other who is his sister also bought hers (using a credit card, who does that nowadays??) and after fighting it for a long time I finally gave in a played with them. But yeah, a little sweat, adrenaline, who wouldn't want that right?? So, I was quite looking forward to playing NERF and also hanging out with my cousins.

Now, back to the main story, on the second day...

SECOND DAY!!!

I asked my cousin, let's just call him Cousin A, whether he would like to bring me to a Gundam store there, cause I heard they sold paint, pla-plates and other stuff that modelers use to modify their Gundam models. And man, he didn't take me to just one, he took me to 3!! Now that may not sound like much but it took like 30 minutes to go to the first store, and he had to drive, so I really appreciated him bringing me there. Unfortunately, only the first one we went to was open, the other were still closed, which was weird cause stores should be open at 11 a.m. right?? But anyway, I bought a lot of Tamiya Paint, and also some of Mr. Hobby's paints as well and some Thinner. And, well, nothing much after that but planning how our NERF battle would be and stuff like that. So yeah, went to sleep and so that brings us to the third day.

THIRD DAY!!

So now on the third day...

THIRD DAY!!

my aunt brought me to the badminton court for some badminton. We played a few matched with my cousins too and after that went to have some delicious Mee Goreng, it was, in my opinion, some of the best Mee Goreng I have tried.

Skipping most days, cause I spent 10 days there and my post would be pretty long then, I'll just talk about the NERF battles, the battles were played inside the house, not the kind of environment for activities like running or jumping but we had to go with it since everyone was so eager to play and it was already night time and playing outside was a complete no because it would be almost impossible to find the bullets then. So the rules were :

a) You get hit once, out.
b) 2 teams, 6 darts per person, we were all using Mavericks anyway.
c) Ricochet darts counted, meaning those using the Vortex series had an advantage.
d) Last person standing wins for the team.
e) If the member runs out of ammo, a draw can be forced by making the other team run out of ammo
f) No reloading allowed, picking up bullets also not allowed.

We played a total of 4 games there. Most games consisting of up to 8 matches, and we only stopped when it was getting late. The first game which happened on, the forth day, if I'm not mistaken, wasn't as fun as we hoped but the games later on were much better.

FORTH DAY!! (getting old, yeah, I know...)

The 3 games we played later on were supposed to be for fun, but it was fun, even with the amount and level of planning involved in each match, planning sometimes took half an hour!! And the beauty of planning is even a team that is in a major disadvantage in terms of location and capabilities still managed to win. We had amazing games, and also everyone started liking the Maverick, its pretty good if I do say so myself.

Also since I switched sleeping in both my cousin's houses, my other cousin brought me out almost everyday. Went to lot of places I have never been to, because it had either just opened in those 2 years I wasn't there, or I just never went there in the first place. Really thanking him for bringing me there, especially since he paid with his own money and doesn't even have a standard income.

So all in all had a great time in Kuching, and I'll also be leaving for KL soon, so I might not be able to post about my Gundam models as much, but hopefully I'll get my HG Heavyarms Custom finished before I leave. That's all, and so just to finish off...

FIFTH DAY!!
SIXTH DAY!!
SEVENTH DAY!!
EIGHTH DAY!!
NINETH DAY!!
TENTH DAY!!!
